Magnificent experience of touring the Ortigia market to buy fresh products and cook and enjoy your lunch with the help of a chef expert in Sicilian traditions
We begin at the market where I explain and demonstrate all the fresh seasonal
Sicilian products. Fruit, vegetables, fish… On the tour we offer you a tasting of sweet and savoury Sicilian products. This is a great moment for deciding what we want to cook for lunch. Then we buy all the ingredients.The lunch we will prepare could be composed for example of: arancini with meat sauce and vegetarians or fresh pasta like ravioli with pistachio pesto of Bronte, a second dish based on fish and a vegetarian like for example scabbard fish rolls with peanuts and eggplant meatballs with basil, a side dish such as a salad of oranges and fennels, and a dessert like cassata siracusana with ricotta, or almond paste or ricotta ravioli fried with honey and cinnamon.
The cookery class will be given in my welcoming cooking school in the middle of Ortigia.
